G2 vs UOL was far from an exciting game for UOL fans as G2 thrashed them 3-1. In game one, nobody EXPECTed Expect's Gangplank to be so spectacular, destroying Vizicsacsi's Shen and even outroaming him. Trick destroyed Xerxe's Ivern with Rumble in the jungle, while Perkz looked great against Vlad on his Ryze. Zven was able to stop Samux from snowballing with an Ashe Thresh (THRASHE) bot lane.

On Saturday, Splyce lost to Misfits in a 3-2 series that was closer than many people expected. In game one, Splyce played Jesiz's Fiddlesticks support, however that did not go so well for them. Misfits brought back the Kennen Braum lane that Fnatic introduced at worlds in season 5 and did extremely well on it. Wunder played Gragas top lane, which is a pick that has had little success in any region this split. In game two, both teams played fairly standard comps except that Wunder played Kled and did surprisingly well, leading to a second Splyce win. In game three, Splyce stole away the Kennen Braum, but Hans Sama was huge on Kalista, ending out 11/0/6. Wunder lost lane once again with his Gragas. Everything else was fairly standard, as Alphari snowballed the whole steam with his roaming Shen ultimates and PowerOfEvil destroyed mid lane with his Syndra. In game four, Splyce made the mistake of not banning Shen. Alphari was insanely strong on Shen once again and destroyed Wunder's Renekton. Kobbe played Kennen once again with Mikyx on Fiddlesticks. Kobbe did ok, but Mikyx got caught out way too much. He ended 0/7/7 while Kobbe was 2/3/3. Kakao did well in the jungle on Rengar again. Sencux took Syndra from PowerOfEvil, but was annihilated by LeBlanc. The last game was just plain embarrassing for Splyce. Shen was left unbanned and Kakao was able to snowball Alphari again, this time against Wunder's on hit Kennen top. Sencux's Viktor did poorly into PowerOfEvil's LeBlanc and those three fed just destroyed Splyce.
This past weekend was full of surprises, as Roccat upset G2, ending their three month long win streak and nearly securing themselves a quarterfinals spot! Unfortunately for Roccat fans, Fnatic upset Misfits, securing themselves the spot against H2K insead. Roccat's mid laner Betsy called on a lot of uncommon picks. In game one, he went 0/1/2 on AP Nasus mid against Perkz's Syndra, which is pretty good considering his team lost that game. Zven picked Kalista for G2 and went 5/0, showing that she has a potential to come back to meta. In game two, Phaxi brought up AD bruiser fizz and annihilated Expect's Rumble. Expect took the Fizz in game three, but it was counterpicked with Nautilus. Betsy also called on his well known pocket pick Swain to make the 2-1 victory complete.
As expected Unicorns of Love defeated Splyce in a 2-1 victory. Splyce won the first game with the only slightly abnormal picks being Caitlin ADC and Zilean support. In the second game, Wunder pulled out on-hit Kennen, unfortunately counterpicked by a Nautilus top lane. He also played Kennen the third match against Rumble, a far easier matchup, but the team eventually lost. Unfortunately, I was unable to find time to watch this game, but you can find highlights here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rX5hcl_ew4M
